Wondering what to expect at American Lutheran?
What should I expect to happen when I arrive?
- When you enter the doors expect to be greeted and welcomed at the Welcome Center inside the doors. The greeters may invite you to wear a nametag so that we can learn your names, and we will be wearing them so you can learn ours. As you enter, head up the stairs or take the elevator to the worship space, where our ushers will hand you a bulletin. Then come on in and grab a seat anywhere you like.
Where do I park?
- We have to parking lots on the south and east side of the building. There is also plenty of on street parking as well. Valet parking is available under the canopy at door A, where our greeters will meet you at the door and offer assistance.
What are our worship services like?
- The 8:00 am, First Word worship service, is a traditional Lutheran, hymn-based service utilizing organ and piano. Our Journey worship, at 10:00 am, is a modern style service, with a variety of musical styles and features piano accompaniment. Within each service you will find a mix of musical experiences with our Bell Choir, Chancel Choir, Busker Band, and the talents of our musicians offering special music.
What is the typical attire?
- At American Lutheran you will find a group of worshippers who come as they feel comfortable. You will find a combination of suits, jeans, dresses, and shorts. We want people to join our worship life as you feel best fits your needs. We mean it when we say "All Are Welcome." Come as you are!
What is the Grace Space?
The Grace Space is a place for young worshippers, who need a little distraction from time to time, to play quietly, to participate in worship life, and to experience the fullness of worship that only young people can bring. We invite families to sit close to the Grace Space, let you child play, color, and worship together.
