Who Are We?

Since its founding in 1939 as an ELCA congregation, American Lutheran Church has worked to serve and bring the Lord's message throughout Worthington, Minnesota, and surrounding communities. We always strive to include everyone of all ages into our programming and service opportunities, whether it's Sunday School for children, mission trips for teenagers, or bible study groups for adults.

What Do We Believe?

At American Lutheran Church, we foster the belief that everyone, regardless of who they are, is welcomed into worship to learn about Christ and grow in their faith. No matter who you are, where you come from, and what you have going on in your life, we hope to be a safe space for you to worship, learn, make relationships, and have fun!

Our Ministries

We offer a variety of ministries (or programs) for all ages to ensure everyone finds their own place to grow in their faith. Explore some of our options below!

Sunday Worship

  • 8:00 AM: First Word (Traditional Service)
  • ​​10:15 AM: Journey Worship (Alternative Service)​​​​​
***From Memorial Day to September 20, we shift to only one service at 9:00 AM.
***We will return to two services on September 27.

​Wednesday Worship

  • 5:30 PM: Koinonia Meal (Depending on the Day)
  • ​​​6:30 PM: Koinonia Service​
​***This worship only happens during September - April.
