Pastor Anne joined the ALC staff as Lead pastor in September 2020. Over the past 27-years as an ELCA pastor, she has served congregations in the Twin Cities area, the La Crosse, WI area, rural South Dakota, in the Fargo-Moorhead area. One of her passions is campus ministry. She served as campus pastor at Oak Grove Lutheran School in Fargo and at the Crossroad Lutheran Center on the campus of Minnesota State University–Mankato. She and her husband live in Worthington, along with their two black and white English Springer Spaniels, Greta and Osa. She enjoys reading various kinds of literature, knitting, spinning wool, baking, cooking a variety of ethnic foods, and spending time with family and friends, walking, kayaking, and sipping a good cup of tea or coffee.She is grateful for the privilege of walking with others as followers of Jesus.

I have been on staff at ALC since January 2007. As worship/music coordinator, I work closely with the pastors to plan an organize the music components of the various worship services. I grew up as a farm girl near Marion, SD, attended college at SDSU in Brookings, SD and have lived in Clark, SD, Canton, SD and no in Worthington, MN. I read to relax and want to travel more. My husband, Michael, and I have 2 grown children, Miranda & Alex. My daughter is married to Dan and they have one child, Gracie. We also count numerous rescue cats as part of our family.
Kristin Appel
Children & Family Ministry Coordinator
 
Before coming on staff, Kristin volunteered as a preschool Sunday school teach, served on various committees and helped with VBS. Kristin earned her B.S. degree in Elementary education from Minnesota State University and taught 2nd/3rd grade for several years, before taking time off to simultaneously raise two daughters and pursue a writing career. Kristin enjoys gourmet food, historic places and paths less traveled.
